Twenty delegates from the Asian Oceanian Computing Industry Association (ASOCIO) held their Plenary Meeting in Karachi, Pakistan on June 26-27, 2006. During the deliberations, the delegates discussed amongst other things, training and marketing initiatives, the development of the SME sector in the ASOCIO economies, the upcoming ASOCIO ICT Summit in Tokyo and changes in the ASOCIO statutes and fee structure.
During their visit to Pakistan, the ASOCIO delegates met with member companies of P@SHA. The delegation also called on the Governor of Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ebad Khan and also met with the Advisor on IT to the Chief Minister of Sindh Mr. Noman Saigol. They were welcomed to the city of Karachi by the Naib Nazim of Karachi Mrs. Nasreen Jalil at a welcome dinner hosted by P@SHA.
